Trade or Street Directories
Trade or Street directories are a very useful source for people who lived in cities or towns. They exist from early times for Ireland's major cities etc., but for the nineteenth century they cover most of the populated areas.

Irish Flax Growers and Spinning Wheel Lists.
This 1796 list names the people who received a grant for growing ¼ acre or more of flax. Those who planted a ¼ acre got 1 spinning wheel, 1 acre, 4 spinning wheels and 5 acres, 1 loom.

Records for Some Professions.
Records exists for persons in certain occupations like the military, policemen,(R.I.C.) clergymen,(most religions) craftsmen, teachers etc..
